Photo/Video Concentration

The photography and video concentration is a diversified program preparing students for careers in advertising, illustration, print and online editorial work, and fine art photography and video practices. Courses progress through traditional and alternative photographic processes, digital image making and printing, large format photography, advertising illustration, and video practices that include narrative, documentary, experimental and video art.

The program includes a study of the history and contemporary theory of photography and video, a review of current professional practices and professional portfolio development. The program offers the opportunity to collaborate with graphic design and studio art students to develop innovative and critically aware arts projects that showcase students’ artistic vision and professional expertise.
